Here is an awesome low calorie lunch recipe.
THINGS YOU NEED:
- Medium sized salmon
- 1 small jalapeño (if you don’t like jalapeños use green bell peppers instead)
- 1 small yellow onion
- Olive oil spray
- 1/2 a cup of Edamame
- 1/2 cup of brown rice medley (brown rice-red rice-black barley)
HOW TO PREPARE AND SERVE YOUR MEAL:
Cut up your jalapeños in circles, and dice a little bit of onion. In a small cooking pan, spray it with olive oil, bring to a medium heat, put your jalapeños and onions in it. Add Sazon as your seasoning or you can add garlic salt or plain season salt depending on your taste. Cook it until it is golden, don’t let them burn, then take it out of the pan and put it to the side. Season your salmon with Sazon or whatever flavor you like, don’t over season to the point that it’s really salty. For maximum weight loss results you want to lower your sodium intake not increase it. Spray your pan again and put the salmon in the pan. Cook it until ready, usually 15-20 minutes depending on the size. Steam your edamame, boil your rice in a small pan. The rice is brown rice, red rice, and black barley. This can all be found at your local grocery store. You can put your rice down on your plate first and the salmon over it which tasted delicious because the salmons salty juices seep into the rice, put the onions & jalapeños over the salmon. Serve the edamame on the side.
This meal is sooooooo tasty!! It takes less than 30 minutes to make and is low on calories! You can skip the red wine and have water instead. Enjoy 🙂
