I LOVE smoothies but I hate that they are so fattening. So I made it my mission to learn to make them healthy. I’m getting more into my juicing and trying out new things that work. When we were young my grandma always told us to try home made remedies for anti aging. Even though we are young she always stressed that a women can never be too healthy or t young. I didn’t get it now but I get it now. Leading a healthier lifestyle truly does give you a “glow” and makes you feel better. My skin is clear and never fails to look great without my red carpet makeup. I have noticed that even now on my cheat days that I never quite feel right after having them. Eating like that just doesn’t sit well in me. I have trained my body to reject bad foods. Juicing daily is now a part of my daily routine. I don’t “fast” or use it as “detox diets” I use it to add more vitamins to my body and for overall optimal health. Anyways! I want you to try this. It’s not hard to make either.
WHAT YOU NEED
- Kale, 1 leaf
- Ice cubes, 2 of them
- Unsweetened almond Breeze milk, 1/2 a cup
- Water, 1/4 a cup
- Strawberries, 4 of them
- 1 whole banana
- Raw unsalted almonds, a handful
HOW TO PREPARE
Wash all your fruits, take the Kale lead off the stem (eating the stem is optional), cut the strawberry stem off too, peel the banana, and put it all in the blender. Add the milk, almonds, water, ice and BLEND!! Don’t add any additional sugars ever. Not even agave. Blend until until it looks smooth like a smoothie. For a thicker texture add more ice, less water. Blend and enjoy!
