I LOVE berries! All kinds of berries- strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, or whatever kinds of berries I can get my hands on. Not only are they super delicious, but there are so many benefits to those yummy, little juicy balls of natural sweetness.

According to a study published in PLoS Medicine, researchers looked at diet and heart attack numbers among 27,000 people of diverse backgrounds and found that loading up on fruits and vegetables seems to modify the genetic risk carried in the gene that causes heart disease. So adding blueberries, and as many different colored fruits in your diet as possible, can definitely improve your heart health.
Helps you lose weight.
Due to the high fiber content, berries can have you feeling fuller faster, which means you won’t want to eat as much during one sitting. Add them with almonds or other nuts as a snack. Add them to your homemade salad dressing, rather than an excess amount of oil. Top them on meals- oatmeal, salads, fish, etc.

The antioxidant properties of berries and chemical compounds in berries have been found to fight inflammation within the body to reduce blood pressure.
